Professor of Computing
The Department of Computer Science is seeking to appoint a leading
researcher as Professor of Computing. The appointment will be expected
to have strong and complementary relevance to at least one of the
current main research areas of the Department.
The Department is research led, multi-disciplinary and has
internationally renowned research. Three main research areas are: Human
Computer Interaction, Mathematical Logic & Symbolic Computation, and
Media Technology. Interdisciplinary research interests lie in the broad
areas of agents and artificial intelligence.
Applicants should show evidence of a world-class research record with a
strong track record of leading publications and significant levels of
research funding in an area that will reinforce the existing strengths
of the Department.
The person appointed will be required to contribute to undergraduate and
postgraduate teaching in Computer science.
Salary will be determined in the light of the experience and
achievements of the successful candidate.
