Laser satellite measurements are of frequent use in 
the very terrestrial physics.

As for the relevance of the Goedel incompleteness to 
mathematics, once I was told that 
the "empirical" fact that the arithmetic is consistent 
is much more evident and truthworthy for a mathematician 
than any attempt of Goedel or whoever to question it.
